Solar Victoria rebate and VEU discount
Eligible households can receive a Solar Victoria hot water rebate for an approved heat pump, plus a separate Victorian Energy Upgrades discount when it replaces an eligible old system.

Can a heat pump replace my gas hot water system?
Often, yes. We check the location of the old unit, water connections, electrical supply and space for the heat pump before recommending an installation.
Can it replace my electric hot water system?
Yes. A heat pump uses much less electricity than a standard electric storage tank to heat the same water, and many homes can use the same location.
Will a heat pump work in a Melbourne winter?
Heat pumps are designed to heat water in cool weather, but performance differs by model. We choose an approved unit suited to your site.
What size tank do I need?
We ask how many people use hot water, how many bathrooms you have and when you use it most. That helps us choose a practical size.
Can I get both rebates?
