The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) Program is designed to upgrade your exisiting inefiicient heating and Hot water systems.

Find a Registered VEU ProviderThe first step is to work with a VEU-registered provider. These are companies accredited by the Victorian Government to supply and install energy-efficient systems and facilitate the rebate process. They’ll :
1. Help assess your current system.
2. Provide you with options for energy-efficient air conditioning models.
3. Ensure you meet all the eligibility requirements for the rebate.

Choose the Right Energy-Efficient System The VEU program covers the cost of upgrading to an energy-efficient air conditioning unit. This can include both replacement systems for old air conditioners or purchasing a brand-new one.

Apply for the Rebate Once you’ve selected your new system, your VEU provider will assist with applying for the rebate. Depending on your system's specifications and energy ratings, you could be eligible for significant financial assistance.

Energy Efficiency: Older air conditioning systems tend to be less efficient, consuming more energy and pushing up electricity costs. Upgrading to a new system could significantly reduce your energy bills.
Environmental Impact: Modern systems use advanced technology to consume less power, lowering your household’s carbon footprint and supporting the transition to a more sustainable future.
Long-Term Savings: While there may be an upfront cost to upgrade, the rebate can substantially offset this, and you’ll enjoy long-term savings on energy consumption and maintenance.

1. Visit the VEU website to access a list of approved companies.
